Analytical Reasoning
Strong Work Ethic

During my time as a teller at Wells Fargo, one of the largest banks in the world, I process complex and important financial transactions for customers. This has given me extensive experience in the ability to analyze a situation and be able to solve any problems with a sound and rational mind-set. This ability not only translates to efficient transaction processing, but has also taught me to use strong rational judgment in typical, day-to-day situations. This allows me to manage my many responsiblities and complete them all successfully.

Several of my courses at the University of Minnesota Duluth have also taught me how to use analytical reasoning. I have completed coursework in Applied Statistics in Economics, Microeconomic Analysis and Strategic Management. All of these classes provide a solid foundation for translating sound reasoning to the business environment.

Through the many different organizations that I work for and participate in, I have gained an extremely hard work ethic for everything that I do. I am constantly looking for new objectives and goals to accomplish throughout all facets of my life. This constant search for improvement drives me to be involved with multiple organizations at my school, and has taught me the ability to manage my time effectively and efficiently.

In the spring of 2016, I was voted in by the student body as the Vice President of Administration and Finance. As VP, I manage a budget of over $100,000 and chair the board for all student organization grants. These multiple responsibilities, plus my work schedule and study abroad ambassadorship makes for a very packed schedule. This has given me a strong sense of organization and work ethic to ensure that I am accomplishing all of the goals for my organizations.

Through my education and extracurricular activities, I have gained not only an ability, but a passion to lead by example and to help others in their aspirations. These different experiences have allowed me to be mentored by people I hold in very high regard and have taught me how to effectively lead those around me. Through my energy and drive for helping others, I have become an effective leader.

My leadership abilities are best exemplified when I was selected as a freshman orientation member during my sophomore year, that helped facilitate new students transition into college. Because of my strong performance in leading those around me, I will be participating as a Team Lead Orientation leader for my second year, which gives me the responsibility of educating and mentoring not only new freshman, but new orientation members as well.

My strongest attribute is my ability to communicate effectively and efficiently. Whether it be a manager, a peer, a customer, or someone I am mentoring, my ability to communicate my message and not just hear, but listen to the response, has been proven to be very successful. Communicating is something I love to do, as interacting with others allows me to learn something new every single day.

These communication skills are used every day during my ambassadorship with the American Institute for Foreign Study. As an alumni of the study abroad company, I was selected out of a large field of candidates to represent them at my college campus. Whether it be giving presentations to classrooms, holding meetings with study abroad advisors, or conducting tabling events, my interpersonal skills are put to use and improved every single day.
